Antireflection (AR) coatings on photovoltaic glass with high transparency and long-term durability are highly desired not only for conventional crystalline silicon modules, but also thin-film modules. Researchers have made continuous progress in developing such AR coatings.
The research group led by Prof. Aiguo Wu developed a rapid qualitative and quantitative detection of small molecules of cysteine by silver nanoprisms, through anti-etching mechanism. The detection limit reached 10 nM.
Prof. Wenwu Zhang’s Group developed a single-step laser precision manufacturing process for 3D irregular holes. The research achievement has great significance in improving gas film cooling hole processing technology for aircraft engines.
In 2013, Prof. Xuedong Wu’s Group at NIMTE prepared Patterned tailored hydrophobic films designed by synergy effect of electrochemical deposition and chemical deposition. The film morphology changes and the roughness of film surfaces gradually become bigger with the increased solution temperature. The gradually increased film roughness leads to the film’s hydrophobicity c...
Recently, a research group led by Professor Feng Huang at NIMTE,has significantly improved the hardness of magnetron sputtered VN coatings by alloying with AlN. Specifically, using a reactive magnetron co-sputtering process in which elemental vanadium (V) and aluminum (Al) were separately driven by dc and pulsed-dc power supplies, they obtained a series of metastable V1?x...
