Run-Wei Li’s group at the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), has found that the dramatic composition effect on ductile/ brittle behaviour of metallic glasses in different thermal history states can be well understood by the new concept of classification of BMGs.
Recently, a novel anticorrosion coating, which crosslinks with inorganic bonds (Si–O–Si) and organic bonds (C–S–C), was prepared on copper through an in situ sol–gel method and thiol–ene click reaction. Related result was published in RSC Adv. (30) 2014 15776-15781.
The SOFC group developed a novel method that embeds Pt voltage probes into triple-phase boundary, and initiatively obtained the unit cell with inner voltage probes. The quantitative contributions of the anode, the cathode, and the electrolyte to cell performance were also investigated and found:(1)The cell output performance was determined by the property of electrode/elect...
Antireflection (AR) coatings on photovoltaic glass with high transparency and long-term durability are highly desired not only for conventional crystalline silicon modules, but also thin-film modules. Researchers have made continuous progress in developing such AR coatings.
The research group led by Prof. Aiguo Wu developed a rapid qualitative and quantitative detection of small molecules of cysteine by silver nanoprisms, through anti-etching mechanism. The detection limit reached 10 nM.
