Recently, Stanford University and Elsevier Data Repository released the "2023 World's Top 2% Scientists List". A total of 16 researchers from the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), ranked among the world’s top 2% of scientists in their main disciplines for career-long citation impact. In addition, 52 NIMTE researchers won the honor for citation impact during the single calendar year.

In recent years, NIMTE have addressed the national strategic needs, strengthen fundamental research and interdisciplinary integration, yielding a batch of original breakthroughs.

Based on the Scopus database of over 100,000 top-scientists that provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator, this prestigious list can reflect the global influence and research excellence of scholars.
