GAO Liang of the Flexible Magnetic Electronic Functional Materials and Devices Laboratory at the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), has been awarded the IUMRS-Frontier Materials Graduate Students Award by the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS), for her excellent academic performance in frontier materials research.
The award was presented to her during the International Conference on Frontier Materials (ICFM) 2023, held from October 14 to 17, 2023.
Supervised and supported by Dr. LI Runwei and Dr. HU Benlin, Gao Liang has devoted herself to the research on intrinsical elastification of ferroelectric materials. Gao et al. proposed a “slight crosslinking” method that successfully imparts elastic recovery to ferroelectric materials. The relevant results have been published in Science.
About IUMRS Frontier Materials Awards
As an international academic organization built by the materials research societies in the United States, China, Europe, Japan and other countries in 1991, IUMRS aims at promoting interdisciplinary research and education in materials science.
The IUMRS Frontier Materials Awards are established to encourage scientists, experts and graduate students who are devoting to the research in frontier materials. Among the nominees around the globe, only 2 scientists, 5 young scientists, and 12 graduate students awarded the honer this year.
