In September 7-9, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) held the fifth "Belt and Road" Forum for International Young Scholars. A total of over 60 scientists from over 10 countries including UK, Germany, USA, Singapore, Sweden, etc. attended the forum with an online audience of over 3,000.

This Forum included 1 main forum and 5 sub-forums on materials technology, new energy technology, advanced manufacturing, and biomedical engineering.

The "Belt and Road" Forum for International Young Scholars aims to discuss cutting-edge scientific issues and key technical difficulties through special reports, academic seminars, visits, etc., thus promoting exchanges and cooperation in related fields.

By virtue of on-site communication and cloud forum, the effective recruitment for over 100 overseas young talents has been achieved via the Forum since 2018.
