Prof. Liu Ping and his research group from the Division of Magnetic Materials, NIMTE attended the INTERMAG 2011 Conference from 25th to 29th April, 2011 in Taibei. This conference which has been held annually since 1978 is one of the top conferences in magnetic materials research areas of the world. It was sponsored by the IEEE Magnetics Society.
During the conference, Prof. Liu Ping chaired the Rare Earth Transition Metal Boride Magnets Session, and Prof. Du Juan chaired the Intermetallic and Other Hard Magnets Session. Meanwhile, the group showed their research progress over the past years in the form of posters, which included Effect of Heat Treatment on Microstructure and Thermal Stability of Nd-Fe-B Sintered Magnets; Effect of Particle Size on the Coercivity of Sintered Ndfeb Magnets; Effect of Temperature Gradient on the Microstructure of Rapidly Solidified Nd-Fe-B Strips; Influence of Extra La and H on the Magnetocaloric Effect of La0.5+Xpr0.5Fe11.4Si1.6 Melt-Spun Ribbons; Glass-Forming Ability and Magnetocaloric Effect in Gdcoalsi Bulk Metallic Glass and Effects of P and Cu on Crystallization and Magnetic Properties of Fesib Alloy..
The posters were so impressive that a hot discussion was raised between the group members and the international peers.
