On 7th June, Mr. Craig Walker and their fellows, a six-member team  including Jodi Vecchiarelli who is the director of UTC Power Program and Mr. Pei-yuan Peng who is the General Manager of UTRC China coming from United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) visited NIMTE. Mr. Wei Guo Wang who is the vice leaders from NIMTE gave a brief overview on the institute and introduced our achievements over the last three years and toured them around the laboratories.

  The visitors first looked around the laboratories of Functional Materials and Nano-Device Division. Prof. Gao Jie Xu introduced the equipments and exhibit to them. Then the visiting team moved to laboratories of Surface Engineering and Remanufacturing Division. Prof. Zhen Lun Song and Prof. Ai Ying Wang welcomed them. They also visited laboratories of Polymer and Composite Division and Magnetic Materials and Devices Division.

  In the afternoon, the six-member team from UTRC visited laboratories of Fuel Cell and Energy Technology Division. Ms. Jodi Vecchiarelli who is the new leader of the UTC Power Program focusing on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells was very interested in further collaboration with NIMTE, especially with Fuel Cell and Energy Technology Division on the development and commercialization of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells. This visit will move forward the strategic relationship between UTRC and NIMTE.
