2009 was gone, at this moment when we say good-bye to the old year and welcome the new one, on behalf of NIMTE, I would like to deeply appreciate all personnel, graduate students, overseas experts, as well as leaders from CAS, various ministries, Zhejiang Provincial Government, and Ningbo Municipal Government for your strong support and kind care, I salute all our friends who have made contributions and efforts in the undertaking of NIMTE development, and extend my warm greetings and new year best wishes to your families.

2009 is the year when NIMTE’s various undertakings have been comprehensively developing. We have made significant research achievements, recruited a few excellent talents, and competed more than 100 million research funding.

On 13, March 2009, we signed the Memorandum of Establishment Project Phase Ⅱ- Establishment Memorandum of Ningbo Industrial Technology Research Institute, CAS with CAS, Zhejiang Provincial Government and Ningbo Municipal Government. It sets the tone for our future and provides a blue print for our action. In pursuing our vision and enacting our mission, I hoped that all the employees will work with devotion for speedy realization of the project.

In the face of global financial crisis, NIMTE people unit together and firmly adhere to integrating of advanced technology, creating transformation platform, and providing innovative solutions for enterprises. Majority of researchers actively involved to find out the need of enterprises, help to solve their technical difficulties, build engineering technology center with enterprises, and successfully realize industrialization of scientific and technological achievements.

I am optimistic that all things would be better in the New Year – 2010.
