The Ningbo Institute of Material Technology & Engineering Chinese Academy of Sciences (NIMTE) held the second Workshop on Functional Oxides and Application from 16th Dec. to 20th Dec. 
Initiated by the Innovative Research International Partnership on Functional Oxides and Application, NIMTE hosted the workshop to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation between NIMTE and foreign talents, and to improve NIMTE’s scientific and technological innovation ability
More than 80 scientists from USA, Canada, France and China participated; it also attracted enterprises, over 10 enterprise delegates attended the meeting. There are 32 presentations, interesting topics covers perovskite oxides, wide band gap semiconductor oxide materials and devices, new energy materials and biotechnology.
Chief scientist, Professor PAN Xiaoqing from the University of Michigan, USA made a concluding statement, he said that on the basis of the successful experience of the previous two sessions, it is expected to attract more domestic and overseas experts to join them, thus it will advance functional oxide materials into a wider range of application level.
Prof. CUI Ping, Director of NIMTE summarized that as a platform of academic exchange, it is hoped that more and more extensive and high-level exchanges will occur, she expects that the participants could introduce more experts in the field of material to strengthen talent team of NIMTE, and to promote the application process of functional oxide materials.
