Research fields: new energy technology, functional materials and nanodevices
Dr. Ning Dai recieved his Ph.D from Notre Dame University, USA in 1993. He was appointed as a research professor in 2001 in Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was honored with “National Outstanding Scholar” in 2003. He started the new energy institute in NIMTE in 2009 and he is now the director of the institute. Presently he is the chief scientist of the high efficiency solar cell project supported by the National Key Research Program from MOST. He has published more than 120 papers in international journals such as Physics Review Letters, Physics Review B, and Applied Physics Letters. His main research interests include high efficiency solar cells, semiconductor quantum structures and super-lattice, and spintronics.
