Dr. Huang obtained his Ph. D. degree in the field of Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Alabama (USA) in 2003. He also worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the University of Alabama for 2 years. He joined NIMTE in 2009, after spending 4 years in the Silicon Valley (California, USA) as various senior engineers for several companies dedicated to the data storage industry (Maxtor, Intevac, and Western Digital), developing various thin films, coating processes, as well as advanced coating equipment. His current interests include developing various nanostructures for diverse applications such as solar cells and other devices, using advanced coating technologies and processes.
