Prof. Wu has published almost 40 peer-review papers in international journals and applied 20 patents (awarded 10 patents, 1 US patent and 1 PCT patent). His citation is over 600 times and H-index is 13. He has been invited to make academic presentations in famous research institutes around the world 20 times or so. He is memberships in several international/civil academic societies/organizations such as American Chemical Society and Chinese Committee for Biomaterials. He is an ad hoc reviewer for 19 international journals and advisory board member for 2 international journals. At present, his funding is from CAS, local government, and enterprises. At NIMTE/CAS, the research interests are as follows: the design, synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles with aqueous-solubility, the research and manufacture of medical contrast-therapeutic agents based on multifunctional nanomaterials system, and the development of rapid detection methods for heavy metal cations based on gold/silver nanomaterials.
