Jin Zhu’s research team from NIMTE(CAS)signed a cooperation agreement with Bayi Industrial Co. The sole feasible approach to solve indoor pollution is use no-formaldehyde releasing wood binder to avoid air pollution caused by formaldehyde releasing Several days ago,a new standard of formaldehyde emission even more severe than E1 was proposed by CARB. The production process of bio-based wood binder with no formaldehyde releasing is very simple and the cost is low. The successful transfer of the project will benefit wood binders production industry and hoping that this project is just the solution of furniture formaldehyde pollution.

The Ningbo Institute of Material Technology and Engineering(NIMTE)hosted the 2010 New Year Ceremony in Sheraton Ningbo Hotel on 21st Jan. 2010.Almost 500 participants gather from agencies directly under the municipal authority,industry partners,visiting fellows,staffs and graduate students Ping Cui,Director of NIME delivers a New Year address. We have made significant research achievements,recruited a few excellent talents,and competed more than 100 million research funding 。 It sets the tone for our future and provides a blue print for our action. In the face of global financial crisis,NIMTE people unit together and firmly adhere to integrating of advanced technology,creating transformation platform,and providing innovative solutions for enterprises. LI Jia successfully finished their researching program at Ningbo Institute of material Technology and Engineering(NIMTE).The assessment meeting was held on 28th Dec. This is the sixth assessment meeting since NIMTE was founded. Chaired by Dr. WAGN Xuezhao as a key member participated 973 Project,National Natural Science Foundation of China,and Directional Projects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,published 5 papers and his two patents has been granted。 Li Jia participated Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province,Natural Science Foundation of Ningbo City,and Directional Projects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The Ningbo Institute of Material Technology&Engineering Chinese Academy of Sciences(NIMTE)held the second Workshop on Functional Oxides and Application from 16th Dec. Initiated by the Innovative Research International Partnership on Functional Oxides and Application,NIMTE hosted the workshop to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation between NIMTE and foreign talents,and to improve NIMTE’s scientific and technological innovation ability More than 80 scientists from USA,Canada,France and China participated。

He also witnessed some research achievements of NIMTE. At the meeting,first of all,Director Cui gave an account of the development of NIMTE and the preparation of the Industrial Technology Research Institute of Ningbo,then President Lu made a short speech. He said last time he visited NIMTE is 2007,he was so happy to see that NIMTE has made big changes and significant achievements during the last two years,He appreciated what we have done,and he believed that we have made a good example for other new institutes.

On October 28th 2009,NIMTE signed a cooperation agreement with Yuanrong New Materials Co. ,Ltd,Hefei City to industrialize a research archievement”Green Polypropylene Foam Material Technology”.This is the first major industry transfer project in NIMTE history. We will hold 23% shares of the company by technology investment 。 To date,there are only a few companies from Japan and Germany can produce it 。 The successful transfer of the project will benefit polypropylene foam production industry,and provide technology and equipment support for large-scale development of polypropylene foam materials industry.

23rd to 24th.Academician Wu devotes himself to the reseach on macromolecules and colloidal,he is the first winner of the Kuo Mo-jo's Scholarship from the University of Science and Technology of China,a recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from New York State University,an Award for Outstanding Young Scholars,an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship Germany,a Young Scientist Award from Chinese Academy of Sciences,an Outstanding Research Award from Hong Kong Croucher Foundation,the Second Class Prize of National Natural Science Award,a National Outstanding Award.

Xiaochu Wang,Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Security of PRC officially awarded a plaque of Post-doctoral Mobile Station to NIMTE. It symbolized that NIMTE’s Materials and Engineering Post-doctoral Mobile Station was formally approved. The platform will enable us to train high-qualified personnel,thus provide adequate human resources to strengthen our research teams.

Based on the great success of the construction phaseⅠ。 The third module is to provide support services for enterprises such as testing,counseling and other technical services。 To collect domestic and foreign scientific and technological achievements to implement effective transformations。 To provide investment and finance services,technique training,technical standard and related services for high-tech enterprises. The fourth module is a management module to provide efficient services. The total construction area will be 80000㎡.NITRI will combine government investment,corporate finance and private capital as its investment mechanism.
