On the morning of November 13, Hangzhou Bay Institute (HZBI), which is affiliated to the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE) under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), officially opened in Qianwan New District. As the crucial engineering platform of NIMTE to connect links of the “original innovation - application foundation - engineering –industrilization” technology chain, HZBI devoted itself to building innovation highland of new materials, as well as promoting key technology industrilization, high-quality regional economy development and Yangtze River Delta integration.

On September 25th, Prof. WANG Liping from the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), won the 2020 XPLORER PRIZE-Advanced Manufacturing.
