Magnetic materials are widely used in various fields, such as in the information storage, transportation, household appliances, healthcare, aerospace and defense industries. Furthermore, there will be both new opportunities for development and severe challenges in fierce international competition. Based on our national strategic needs for high-performance magnetic materials and the industrial advantages of Zhejiang Province in magnetic materials, NIMTE focuses on developing new materials and designing high-tech magnetic devices with independent intellectual properties, thus integrating the upstream research of magnetic materials and the application of magnetic devices. Currently, our major research directions include rare-earth based magnetic materials, amorphous magnetic materials, flexible magnetic-electronic materials and low-dimensional magnetic materials.
