The Advanced Interdisciplinary Sciences Research (AIR) Center
The Center serves as a hub for fundamental research innovation. It specializes in interdisciplinary studies powered by computational science, focusing on "AI + New Materials" with the core mission of "AI Empowering New Material Creation". The Center addresses key challenges aligned with both the National Key Laboratory's requirements and cutting-edge frontiers in materials science. It bridges basic and applied research through fundamental, pioneering, and interdisciplinary studies. By leveraging artificial intelligence, it accelerates scientific discovery and novel material development. Operating under an open "small core, large collaboration" model, the center implements innovative talent policies and serves as an incubator for future scientists and a source of technological innovation in materials science.
