Professor Mohmmad Mujahid from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Pakistan, invited by Professor Ziyi Ge, the Institute of New Energy Technology of NIMTE, , paid a short visit to NIMTE on November 29th, 2012. Two groups from NIMTE and NUST exchanged their mutual research interests and presented their recent research progress at the seminar.
Professor Mujahid firstly made an intensive introduction of NUST, which attracted a massive attention to both NUST and their research
Dr. Yang Wang from Professor Ge’s research group, in turn, reported his research on novel donor-acceptor polymers based on 4,8-di(furan-2-yl) benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b’] dithiophene for highly efficient solar cells, which was followed by a pleasant mutual discussion. The researchers from NUST showed a great interest to explore a potential cooperation with NIMTE and hoped to promote a further academic exchange in the near future.
After the seminar, led by Professor Ge, Professor Mujahid and his Ph.D. students took a short tour to the Organic Photovoltaics Lab of NIMTE. (Ruixiang Peng reports.)
