Prof. Dr. Run-Wei Li, Deputy Director of CNITECH, CAS also serves as the Director of the Key Laboratory of Magnetic Materials and Devices, CAS. He is both the CAS One Hundred-Talent Program Fellow, and Zhejiang One Thousand-elite Program Fellow.
He obtained his Ph.D. in condensed matter physics in 2002 from the Institute of Physics (IOP), CAS, and then he spent thirteen months in the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (ISIR), Osaka University, Japan as a JSPS fellow. Since October of 2003, he stayed in Germany as an Alexander von Humboldt fellow for sixteen months. From February of 2005, he worked as a senior research fellow in the International Center for Young Scientists (ICYS), the National Institute for Materials Sciences (NIMS), Japan for three years and two months.
He joined in CNITECH, CAS in 2008. His research focuses on magnetoelectronic materials and devices especially in the new type memories and sensors, including multiferroic materials, flexible magnetic materials, resistive random access memory (RRAM) materials, and related physics and devices. He has published 90 peer-reviewed papers on international journals, including PNAS, Adv. Mater., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Scientific Reports, J. Mater. Chem., Phys. Rev. B, Appl. Phys. Lett. etc. and had 30 patents filed.
Currently, he is a reviewer for more than 20 journals, including Nature Commun., Adv. Mater., Appl. Phys. Lett., New Journal of Physics, Nanotechnology, J. Appl. Phys.，Nanoscale, Surface Science, J. Phys. condens. Mater., J. Phys. D: Appl. Phys., Modern. Phys. Lett. B, Chin.Phys.
